You might say I'm taking getting married as an excuse to start over. Well, in a way it is. I have a new family unit now, one that I am the head of, not just a part of. I changed my name-- that's a pretty fresh start! And we really have begun the rest of our lives together. All of that is pretty heavy stuff.

Part of my transformation is I am going to go back to church. Since I came back from Bible college, I haven't gone with any regularity. That being said, I deeply miss it, and I deeply miss that time with God. I never went, though, because Damon always opted to stay home.

I'm not going to let that stop me now. Sure, I may be shy, and it may take time for me to meet people, but I love that time I have with God, and that's what it's about. Damon expresses his spirituality differently, and that's ok. It's just taken me this much time to get over.

Now, I have a list of 46 things to do this weekend that I ought to get started on. Most of it is cleaning, but I want the house in some sort of order by the time Damon gets home.
